Please realize it takes me about a week to get everyone's
order boxed up and ready to go. All treasures are FIRST
COME FIRST SERVE to be fair to everyone. We try to list new
items on the website 2 times a month, sometimes more

sometimes less

WE ARE THE ORIGINAL "Back Porch" and want to keep that
running, however, if you are only ordering from the "Back
Porch" there is a minimum of a $10.00 purchase at 50% off, it's
just the way I have to do it from now on. If you are ordering
from anywhere else on the website, then there is no minimum
from ordering on the "Back Porch".
Being on my
10th year of the website, I have never ever had to
charge a handling fee. Since I have resources to obtain
recycled paper, bubble wrap and FREE Priority Boxes, I don't
have to charge any of those "extra" fees. Your packages aren't
all dressed up and pretty like some of our other favorite
websites, that's how I keep my prices low and so reasonable.
You pay only what the post office tells me what you pay. If I
had to take my time, gas and effort to run around and find
boxes to ship non-priority, then I will have to charge a handling
fee. I think it's a win/win situation for all of us that I continue
with the priority shipping and no handling fees, just actual
shipping charges. Remember, I h
ave my job at KMRY Radio and
need to keep that job so I can pay my bills
. Therefore I am
shipping everything via the USPS. I ALSO USE FLAT RATE
BOXES ALL THE TIME, IF YOUR ORDER CAN FIT INTO
THEM without DAMAGE!!!!
It takes me A LOT of time to get the website ready, to mark
your items sold, carefully package it up, tape the box with
expensive packing tape, and go to the USPS.com website to
calculate your shipping. I then, send you an email with your total.
This all takes time and TONS OF MY ENERGY....when you
receive the total from me and then decide not to purchase the
items, you will be taken off my mailing list and I will not allow
you to buy from me again, NO WAY, NO HOW, NOT EVER, NO
EXCEPTIONS. I know this seems harsh, but I put my heart and
soul into Four Sisters In A Cottage and I am very hurt when
people "change their minds" and decide not to purchase the
treasures I have ready to ship and have taken them off the
website so no one else can buy them. From my point of view, it
is also something that someone else might have wanted and so
that is why this policy has to be in place. In the
10 years I have
been doing this, it has only happened 2 times and I want to
keep it that way.
ALSO, FROM NOW ON, EVERYTHING REQUIRES
DELIVERY CONFIRMATION AND INSURANCE. Not so much
for breakage, but for THEFT!!!! It has come to my attention
that some items have been taken off front porches and
doorways so I REQUIRE INSURANCE and DELIVERY
CONFIRMATION. If you do not want this, then please do not
buy from me.
You might ask yourself, why not just add a buy it now shopping
cart button to your website. I can't, it doesn't calculate
shipping for those of you who buy more than one item, so that's
just the way it has to be. I hope all of you can understand
where I am coming from. This is my business
, my baby and my
little piece of Heaven on Earth.
